Château de Cognac, located in Cognac, France, is a historic monument dating back to the 10th century. Due to the heritage configuration of the building, some rooms are unfortunately not accessible to wheelchair users and people with reduced mobility, such as the Salle au Casque, the King’s Apartments and the humid cellars.
The following areas are accessible to people with reduced mobility:
- The reception and ticket office is located in the Château shop, which is accessible to people with reduced mobility.
- The Renaissance reception rooms
- The Louise de Savoie Courtyard
- Le Lys Bar
- Visits are always guided in order to support visitors throughout the tour route.
- Certified assistance dogs are allowed on site.
- The Château de Cognac team can provide information and support to visitors before their visit in order to help them prepare as effectively as possible.
- Visitors with specific needs are invited to contact the Château de Cognac team before their visit.
